Class Requirements

Attire for Dance Classes

Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear to class could result in students being asked to sit out the class. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of lessons. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street or outdoors to any dance class (except hip hop students are allowed to wear tennis shoes). For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelery. Long hair must be tied back.

2, 3 and 4 yr. olds

Pink or black leotard

Pink tights

No skirts

Kindergarten - 12th grade

Ballet - black leotard, pink tights, no skirts

Tap & Jazz - Black leotard and black jazz pants or black jazz capris (optional)

Hip Hop - GIRLS / sweatpants and formfitting top or leotard BOYS / sweatpants and T-Shirt

Shoes for Dance Classes

• Hip Hop - tennis shoes
• Ballet - pink Bloch or Capezio
• Tap - Black low heel tap shoes
• Jazz - Black slip-on jazz shoes required for 2nd grade through 12th grade
